Þröstur is a zipped down sweater for young men of all ages. Perfect for everyday use and for camping.
The pattern is written in two ways; to knit the sweater the old Icelandic wool sweater style (bottom up) and to knit the sweater top down.

It is important to have the right gauge to determine the given size. Adjust needle size to match gauge.
Directions
The sweater is knitted in the round with stockinette stitch and stranded knitting on the yoke, at the bottom of the body and sleeves.
The ribbing at the neckelining and at the bottom of the body is knitted flat; k1 st, p 1 st repeat and the ribbing at the bottom of the sleeves is knitted in the round.
The body and the sleeves are knitted in the round with stockinette stitch and stranded knitting. Two purled sts are mid front.
A sewing machine is used to sew into the purl lines before cutting the sweater open.
A zipper is sewn under the front edge.
