The name of this patterns is FROST and the colors describe the colors of winter. The base consists of three shades of grey from rocks, mountains, sand, streets etc. (worked in stripes). The white color indicates the snow and the blue color could be water or the sky.

 

The mittens are one size womens. It is easy to make the mittens bigger or smaller by using a little bit bigger or smaller needles.

. The mittens are worked in the round from bottom to top with stranded knitting, using 5 double pointed needles, followed by knitting the thumb using 4 double pointed needles.

 

Yarn: Arctic from Icewear, 80% wool, 20% nylon

 

Needles: Double pointed needles, US 1.5 (2.5 mm) and US 2 (2.75 mm).

 

Gauge: 2 x 2 in (5 x 5 cm) = 18 L og 17 umferðir in pattern knitting on needles US 2 (2.75).
